KINKY LOWDOWN with Cherise Sinclair

You can take 5 items/men/women to a fully catered desert island – what/who would you take?   J
Two strong Dominants (not more, because otherwise it’s really difficult to keep track of their commands, let alone all the moving body parts). Each Dom will bring his toybag (that counts as only one ‘item’ apiece, right?).  And after sex on the beach, I’m going to seriously need the drink, Sex on the Beach.

Most inappropriate thing you’ve done in public? If it was illegal, did you get caught? J
Hmm. Dancing on bar tables seems pretty mundane. Sex in public?  Check. And yes, getting caught is part of the fun, right? My favourite spot was a park with a massive chest-high rock that looked almost like a sacrificial altar.

Do you have a favourite author(s)? Who is it/are they?
In the erotic romance genre, I love Lexi Blake, Shayla Black, Joey Hill, Angel Payne, Fiona Archer, Bianca Sommerland, and sheesh, I can’t list them all.  In other genres, I just finished reading Patricia Brigg’s Mercy series (again).

Who’s your favourite character? And what would let him/her do to you in the Dungeon?
Master Z from the Shadowlands holds my heart—and he could do absolutely anything he wanted because he wouldn’t go farther than I could handle.  And since I’m a really paranoid person, that’s trust for you. lol

If you write under an alias/Nome de plume, how do you deal with being addressed by that name?
I do use a pen name, but I carefully picked a first name that sounds like my normal nickname, so when friends call me “Cheri”, I answer.

However, my husband came into my office last week with an odd expression on his face and tells me, “I guess I’m now 'Mr. Sinclair'?”

What made you decide to pick an alias?
I had two children in school when I started writing erotic romance, and I wasn’t going to do anything to compromise their safety.  No one in our small town knew what I wrote—and I didn’t share with the kids until they were close to graduating from high school.

What extent do you go to, to research for what you write?
Ok, I do all the normal research methods—books, blogs, questioning people…  Since I write about BDSM, I also visit BDSM clubs and offer up my body in the name of authenticity. Violet wands, floggers, single-tails, knives … writing kink isn’t for the weak of heart, right?

I will admit that my dearheart—who usually is quite enthusiastic about “research”—drew a very firm line when I started writing about a ménage.  I believe his words were something like, “Absolutely not.”

Leather or Lace?
I love the smell and feel of leather.

If you weren’t an author, what would you have ended up doing?
Well, I’ve already been a registered nurse and a software engineer, so would you believe writing is my third career?

Do you have any rituals/habits when you write?
Plant butt in chair and write.  Although, if I’m having trouble turning off the internal editor in my mind, then I’ll close my eyes and touch-type while playing the story-movie in my head.

Is there anything on your current/upcoming release schedule?
I have an August release with “Show Me, Baby,” a novella in the Masters of the Shadowlands series in the 1001 Dark Nights program.

Where are your books available?
Print books are available from B&N and Amazon. Digital books are available from Amazon, B&N, AllRomance Ebooks, iBooks, and Kobo.  Each book’s page on my website has buy links listed

Thanks to The Picky Bitches blog for inviting me to come and play today!  It’s been a pleasure.
For all of you who read, your enthusiasm makes it all worthwhile—all the planting butt in chair, the angsting over plots and characters and motivation, the arduous in-person research (well, okay, maybe the research isn’t so much work. Lol)  But seriously, thank you all.
~It's been a pleasure to have you here Cherise! Thank you for taking the time to 'chat' with me!~Amanda!~
