Well, fuck. Just…fuck.
I’m sitting here after just finishing ‘Til Death hankering for
the conclusion.
What an arse. Marcus has inherited the family business from
his grandfather on three conditions.

Get married
-
Stay with her for two years (can’t just get
married and divorced within that time)

She has to come to him willingly (ie, not
allowed to let her know and pay her off for the time)
If he breaks any of these rules, the person he likes least
will take control of the company. Bummer.
For the player, no one thinks it’s possible, particularly
the person who’ll get the company if Marcus stuffs up. He meets Katia, who happens to be the BFF of
one of his employees, and decides that she’s the one. Yes, The One. The one to fulfil the conditions of his grandfather’s
will. Nice touch. She’s just a contract to
him and a regular fuck. A body he enjoys but no more. They don’t even share a
bed.
For every time he gives her a blank look or brushes her off—not
washing her in the shower, not telling her where he’s going for business,
ignoring her texts—you kind of want to reach through the screen and shake him
by the throat. He does a few nice things in regards to Katia’s mother and her
old job, which Katia mistakes as him caring for her but it is made quite clear,
he’s doing it for his own benefit (self-serving prick).
She falls hard for him and it’s a little hard to see such
powerful emotions coming from her and none from him. And then there’s one of
his ex-fucks who comes comes around trying to start trouble, family who
accidentally stick their nose in things and the man who wants Marcus’ company
coming around to start shit too.
I’ve only read one of Bella Jewel’s books but just
this one time has left me wanting more. I need the time to delve into my book
collection and find the Joker’s Wrath series and play catch up on the
characters from those books who make a cameo appearance (and I do so love
finding the extra back story to things!)
‘Til Death is a fabulous read and I look forward to the next
part. It’s well written with strong characters and good character growth,
whether it be emotionally or mentally. Definitely add to your TBR’s must-read
list.
Review by Ashlea:I will admit I had my worries about reading this book. It's not what I normally read and falling for the bad guy is not me. But after the first chapter I was hooked. Katie says it at the start, you are going to hate her and Marcus but that because you fall for them so much. But they do things that make you want to slap the shit out of them. Bella's writing sucks you in and holds you tight as you go on the ride that is this read. I'm a reader that tends to work out what's going to happen next but I must say I have no bloody idea. Twist and turns that have me grabbing and holding on for more. And some steamy sex that has me needing a cold shower. Days later and I'm still swooning over Marcus. This good girl might after all be interested in the dark side. Katia and Marcus have a lot more in store for us, I can feel it. Bring on part two I say.
