A HUGE THANK YOU!! To all the authors who stopped in this month!
I renamed the blog this month. For the month of June thus far, it's been the Kinky Bitches, focusing on authors who write kink - in whichever way they choose to write it. Some write from their own lives, some write with a very realistic approach and a lot of outside consultation, others write ... well, who would like to speculate about their activities? Hmmm?!
Throughout this month, I have been joined by an array of writers of kink/BDSM. Fabulous authors have answered some questions and I've been featuring some of their books.
A huge Thank You to all the participating authors for agreeing to this impromtu gathering of minds!
And another Thank You for all the donations of prizes for the month long giveaway - The prize pool is almost of epic proportions! Your generosity is amazing - Thank You so very much :)
As I still have had commitments for other blog posts, to differentiate between Kinky posts and normal posts, the sections had a make over too - Author Lowdown was Kinky Lowdown, Spotlights were Kinky Spotlights and so on.
Without the Kink, it was just a post!
During the next week, the kinksters has gone back to the Dungeon to play; can't keep them out of there for too long!! This week is dedicated to New Releases, Blog Tours and Cover Reveals!
On board the mid-June chugger, I have:
Dianna Hardy, Eve Langlais, R.S. Grey, Chelsea Camaron, David Michael and Becca Lee.
What a great bunch of authors! (I hope they all get along well together, otherwise your favourite author might get tossed overboard, and we wouldn't want that to happen now would we!)
The Kinky Rafflecopter is open til the end of June and if we're really good girls and boys, there might even be some more authors stopping by in the last week.

KINKY REVIEW - Amelia James - Home is Where the Heat is
Review provided by Guest Reviewer, Rebecca Boucher, from the 'My Life with Books and Boys' blog.
****Adult Content 18+ Please****
Synopsis
The "Twisted Mosaic" readers' favorite, Claire, has some twisted fun of her own.
Dependable paralegal Claire O’Connor knows the man of her dreams is out there waiting for her, and she’s ready for him. Imagine her surprise—and delight—when she discovers not one but two men who lust for her. One adores her; the other challenges her. One makes sense; the other is a gamble.
Despite the family tragedy that shaped his past, JT Luck has only known success professionally. His personal life, however, is a failure. He doesn’t want a relationship, and while his ‘let it ride’ attitude keeps most women at a distance, Claire is eager to roll with him.
But when she finds out Kurt Langston, the office’s resident computer geek, harbors a secret crush on her, she wonders if he’s the safer bet. Kurt doesn’t get close to people, and his feelings for Claire make no sense in his carefully ordered life. His unexpected bond with JT pushes him to take chances he never imagined.
Go all-in or go home? Either way, the heat could be more than they can handle.
Review
Okay, I am a huge Amelia James fan, no surprise there. And I am also a huge fan of the Twisted Mosaic series. Alex, Will and Talia heated our hearts for quite a while ladies. Right? Well, Alex and Will make cameos in this book, but it's all about Claire.
With Home Is Where The Heat Is we are introduced to two men that will change Claire's life, Jared Tucker Luck and Kurt Langston. From the start we kind of figure where these men will fit in Claire's life, and her bedroom. But, James throws us some twists and turns that take this book to a new level. Not only is it erotica, it's romance and a little bit of mystery, mixed with a lot of personal reflection. The characters are way more developed, the story line moves freely and fast, it's hot and scorching sex, but with a sweet side thrown in.
JT and Claire face the same issues of abandonment and rejection. They are both struggling with believing and trusting their feelings, and they both crave a little twisted fun in the bedroom. Kurt is faced with feeling like he doesn't fit in. He watches Claire from the outside and dreams of having a chance. When the three form an unlikely, and important, friendship, it allows all of them to grow. And allows Kurt to explore his freaky side.
What James does well in this book is let the characters grow without changing them too much. It's authentic, and creates that realism that makes you want to dive into the world they inhabit. When things like fire and sabotage, internet hacking, and jury tampering creep into the plot, it grabs you in even more. Seriously I could not put this book down, it's a whole other level of erotica.
My one little sticking point, because I really didn't want to call it a complaint, is I hope we get to see more of Kurt in his own book. I felt bad for him. He didn't really lose out on the deal, but I feel like he gave something up. Kurt has a lot of potential as a main character. As much as I fell for JT, Kurt has a certain appeal that makes you want to find your own 'yummy IT guy'. He put the sexy in geek for sure. I love how he was able to form a bond with JT and their characters meshed so well. He was just one of those stand up guys.
Bottom line: Great book that hooked me from page one. You don't have to be familiar with the previous series to enjoy, it stands on its own. Permanent spot on my shelf for this one. Five stars!

KINKY LOWDOWN with Amelia James
Since ménage sex is my favourite kink, I'll choose 5 guys.
Christian Kane, Jon Bon Jovi, Loki (fictional characters count, right?), Jamie
Fraser, and Adrian Paul.
What’s the weirdest thing a fan (or stalker!) has ever asked
you?
One of my readers begged me to tell her which guy Talia
chose in The Twisted Mosaic. I wouldn't do it, so after she read it, she
spoiled the ending in her review. Grr….
Most inappropriate thing you’ve done in public? If it was
illegal, did you get caught? J
I keep my inappropriate behind closed doors.
Do you have a favourite author(s)? Who is it/are they?
Right now it's Diana Gabaldon. I just started reading the
Outlander series. I love historical romance: Kinley MacGregor, Karen Marie
Moning, and Teresa Medeiros are some of my favorites.
How did you start your writing career?
I started writing short stories in the 3rd grade before I
knew how to spell. I had a couple of stories published in Playgirl, then
eventually I started writing novels. My first romance novel, Tell Me You Want
Me, was published by Evolved Publishing in June 2012. Since then I've released
7 more books, both romance and erotica.
Which character was the hardest to write and why?
The women, especially Jane because she was my first heroine.
I don't relate to women. I love football, muscle cars, classic rock and action
movies. I have more in common with men than women. I love writing my heroes. J
Who’s your favourite character? And what would let him/her
do to you in the Dungeon?
Do I have to choose one? I'm pretty hooked on my newest guy,
JT Luck. But he likes to share, so I think I'll invite Alex Sheridan to join
us. JT is bad, but Alex is pure wickedness. What would I let them do? See,
that's just it. It's not up to me. JT is a gambler and Alex is a manipulator so
I'd have no control. Which is just fine with me. ;)
If you write under an alias/Nome de plume, how do you deal with being addressed by that name?
I spend more time using my pen name, Amelia James, than my
real name, so I often forget who I am. But Amelia is more the real me than the
real me is.
What made you decide to pick an alias?
When I first started writing kink, my mom didn't know, so I
chose an alias to protect my identity. She found out a couple of months ago,
and she's cool with it. She'll never read my books (whew!), but she's proud of
me.
What was it about kink that made you choose the genre?
It chose me. I grew up in a very conservative and
fundamental family/community. No one told me anything about sex, so I learned
from reading romance novels. Writing them is both therapy and escape.
What extent do you go to, to research for what you write?
Um… I can't answer that without getting myself in trouble.
Do you have a favourite item to write about? (or use? J)
Multiple partners. ;)
Dom or sub?
I'd submit to Loki. Kneel!
Leather or Lace?
Lace rips nicely.
Silk or hemp?
Silk ropes don't chafe. I've researched this. ;)
If you weren’t an author, what would you have ended up doing?
I'd probably become a nun… or a stripper. ;)
Do you have any rituals/habits when you write?
I get up at 5:00 a.m. and fire up the laptop. I need quiet
and comfort. No distractions.
What would be the weirdest one?
Probably the getting up at 5 a.m. thing.
Is there anything on your current/upcoming release schedule?
My newest erotic romance, Home is Where the Heat Is,
released May 19, 2014. After that I'll be releasing sequels to my two romance
novels Tell Me You Want Me and Secret Storm. Tell Me You Want Forever will be
out in December 2014, and Secret 2 (no title yet) in 2015.

KINKY INTRODUCTION - Amelia James
I am Amelia James, trashy romance author. I write because I
love it, and I have a wild imagination I gotta do something with. I’ve been
writing stories since the 3rd grade. My teacher wrote ‘tends to daydream’ on my
report card. I’m gonna have that carved on my tombstone. My stories are
character driven. I love creating characters and hearing the stories they have
to tell. They’re my imaginary friends. Yep, I’m a little weird.
“The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at
hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the
best of ourselves to the task at hand.” – Vince Lombardi
I got hooked on trashy romance novels in junior high, but my
mom took them away from me, but she couldn’t stop me from daydreaming. After I
got married, I wrote some of my naughtier daydreams down and sent them to Playgirl magazine.
Two of them got published. I kept daydreaming and writing stories until my dirty
stories turned into trashy books.
I live in Colorado, but I’ll always be a loyal Wisconsin
Cheesehead. When I’m not lusting after my next bad boy hero, I’m looking for
inspiration in sci-fi and action movies, football players, morally ambiguous
lawyers, muscle cars, and kick-butt chicks.
You can find me on Facebook, and on Twitter I’m known as Trashy
Writer. I call myself a trashy writer because I want my readers to know that I
enjoy mindless escapism as much as they do. I’m not out to win a Pulitzer
Prize. (But I’m an award-winning finalist in erotica, USA Book News 2012.) I
just want to help someone relax and get away from it all for a little while. I
write romance, erotica and trash for fun and pleasure. I hope you had a good
time. I did.
