Maddie and Kane had a “quickie” while they were at school
but nothing more could come of it as he was an Alphas son and she had seer
eyes. After their encounter Maddie leaves looking for what she doesn't know but
she doesn't find it and returns home.
Kane joins the army and comes back home a hero after his
father dies. Kane also doesn't find what he was looking for either a way for
shifters and humans to get along together. Kane knows that he needs to stay
away from Maddie for her own good, the sexual tension is too great and cannot
be denied. When Maddie runs into trouble
with a hunter she finds out the truth about the things that go bump in the
night. Kane and Maddie decide that they are just meant to be.
This is a great start to the wolves of Angles Rest series
and a good addition to the Mating season. A good shifter short story with some
very strong alpha males and sizzling sex.
