REVIEW!!! Wolf Witch (Wolf Born #2) by N. Gosney

WOLF WITCH by N.GOSNEY
Wow! What to say about Wolf Witch? I was lucky enough to get an ARC of Wolf Born and really enjoyed the story.  When a chance came up for me to review Wolf Witch, I jumped at it. As far as I was concerned, there was no way it would be as good or better than Wolf Born. The best I was hoping for was as good. Well, Natalie Gosney proved me wrong, it WAS better, she has outdone herself. I was glad I had the weekend all to myself to read it as I was unable to put the book down I finished it in one day.
This story picks up on Kyle and Carly’s story, we get more from our lovers and follow their story, travelling with them as they look for answers. Natalie steps up the horror content in this story and had me trying to shut my eyes so I didn’t have to see what was happening. This is hard when the horror is more in what you see in the words and shutting your eyes doesn’t stop this happening.  There were parts that I found obvious as to what was happening but that didn’t take from the story as it was well balanced with twists that I didn’t see.
With all the drama and mayhem going on in the story, we are also hit with heartbreak to balance out the adrenaline rushing through our system. The tissues did get a work out. Devon again makes an appearance you would have thought he would have learnt his lesson from the last book. Nope, he’s back causing problems and death is sure to follow where he goes.

I’m not wanting to write any more in case I spoil the story for other potential readers. I will say YES put this on your to read list. The Wolf series from Natalie Gosney is definitely worth reading. I cannot recommend this book strongly enough  and am waiting with baited breath for Wolf Blade and Wolf Bane.

BOOK REVIEW!! The Witch Who Cried Wolf (Cry Wolf #1) by Sarah Makela

The Witch Who Cried Wolf (Cry Wolf, #1)

The witch who cried wolf by Sarah Makela

Mia is a witch that doesn't practice her powers so that makes her powers not very strong. She has been keeping her powers a secret from her family and friends. Her brother gets her to pick up his mate Ethan from the airport whom she has been lusting after for years.  While at the airport Mia and Ethan are attacked by a werewolf and Mia uses her powers exposing her to Ethan. Mia then has to tell Ethan that he could become a werewolf. Finally the feelings that Mia thought were only on her side turn out to be more than one sided.
Mia and Ethan get dragged into the world of the werewolves that neither of them they knew anything about. Ethan is given a chance to learn what he is going to become from the alphas son.
Not wanting to give any spoilers I’m leaving it at this. It is a beautiful love story of two people who want to deny their love as they feel that is the right thing to do. Finally giving into what is meant to be.
I received this arc for my honest review and this is my honest review.

REVIEW!! Blood Secrets (Valorian Chronicles1) by Vivi Anna

644541

“Think CSI with vampires, werewolves, etc.”

Synopsis
Caine Valorian and his Otherworld Crime Unit crack all the unusual cases before any humans take notice. When a young woman is found ritualistically murdered it's his team of professionals with paranormal gifts who must stop the nameless evil stalking the streets. But the toughest case of Caine's 200-year career gets even harder when a new member, Eve Grant, is assigned to their unit. Not only is she green and eager to impress, she's human.

As they sink deeper into the workings of the case, Caine's attraction to the alluring Eve is causing his blood to boil. And with war brewing between species, the all-consuming passion between a human and a vampire won't be the only thing to spill on the city's mean streets...

Review
The whole giving the Otherworlders their own [closely guarded] city smacks of apartheid but get past that and the story is a good one. It’s a fairly fast read.

I loved the characters, especially our hero, Valorian, who spends a lot of willpower trying to resist his attraction to Eve – after all, she’s new, she’s his subordinate, and she’s human. All these put her firmly on the ‘Do Not Touch’ list. Of course, we all know how well that’s going to work…

The plot has the same scientific nitty-gritty feel as the CSI shows, and the same blurring of the details so the non-science-oriented readers don’t fall asleep in their chairs. The crime is grim, the possible repercussions are dire for all concerned, especially the paranormal community, and the need for answers is urgent. This was my first read by this author and it won’t be the last
