Suvi is the youngest of the Rowan triplets, but prefers high heels to combat boots, and always choose the club over the battlefield. Unfortunately, if she isn’t rebuilding the business she shares with her sisters, she’s searching for their archenemy, Cele. Through all of the trials that Suvi and her sisters have been through with her sister’s mates, Suvi believes they’ve done their part, and it’s time for a celebration, but that isn’t in the cards for her. Suvi has waited her entire life to meet her Fated Mate, the man who she is meant to spend the rest of her life with, but when she finally meets him, she isn’t able to plan the party of the century. Instead, she and her sisters have seventy-two hours to investigate a murder, locate a rogue vampire and stop an evil witch from stealing their powers. Oh, and save her mate from a death sentence. She wants nothing more than to spend her days and nights in sensual oblivion with her vampire, but the clock is ticking, and her mate’s life along with it.

Caine DuBray’s world is upended when he wakes up next to a human female that has been drained dry. As the only vampire on scene, her death is immediately pinned on him. He believes he is innocent, but he can’t recall the details of their date. Rather than executing him immediately, the Vampire King gives him three days to prove his innocence, and points him to the Rowan Sisters, notorious for their growing powers and talent. He discovers that one of the witches he is directed to is his Fated Mate and their passion sets him on fire, leaving him desperate for the chance to spend eternity with the sexy witch. Will they be able to save him, or will Suvi face eternity without her Fated Mate?

Excerpt:

A God stood before her. A male well above six feet tall with a firmly muscled body took up the entrance. He wasn’t like most supernatural males either. Most were rugged and casual, preferring jeans and t-shirts. There were the exceptions and this male was one hell of an exception in his black two-piece suit that was tailored to his sculpted body like a work of art. His shaggy black hair didn’t fit his attire as disheveled as it was, falling into his green eyes.

The sensation of electricity rippling through her veins stunned Suvi. There was always a rush when she practiced magic, but this was so much more than that. She was captured by his gaze and her entire being woke to pay attention. She noticed the haggard look on his face as he loosened his blue pin-striped tie, walking into the store. The way he moved reminded her of a panther and she wanted desperately to be his prey.

“What’s wrong with Suvi, daddy?” She heard Donovan ask and Braeden’s chuckle.

“You’ll understand some day, son. Come on. Let’s go get some ice cream down the street.” She heard the door sound again when Braeden and Donovan left but she didn’t move, she couldn’t, she was rooted to the spot.

Caught in an erotic trance, Suvi was aware that she was gawking and speechless. In her defense, any female would be in this male’s presence. The touch of her sisters brought her out of it, and she blushed with her embarrassment.

“Are you the Rowan sisters?” The somber note to his deep voice had Suvi doing a double take and that’s when she noted the haunted look to his gorgeous green eyes. She wondered what put that look there and oddly, she wanted to put a smile on his face and make that expression disappear.

Pema extended her hand. “Yes, we are. I’m Pema and these are my sisters, Isis and Suvi,” she pointed to them in turn. “How can we help you?” Suvi noticed how Ronan had abandoned hanging shelves and come to stand directly behind Pema.

“I’m not sure where to begin and I don’t even know if you can do anything.” He seemed nervous and out of sorts and Suvi wanted to promise him she’d move heaven and earth to help him. “I’m Caine DuBray. Jace and Zander thought maybe you three could help me with this situation I have suddenly found myself in. It’s a nightmare really.” He paused and placed his hands in his pockets. She saw the muscles flexed in his neck from clenching his jaw tightly.

Suvi was inexplicably drawn to him and overcome with a fierce need to erase the shadows. She wanted to draw him into her arms and hold him tightly. She knew what would put a smile on his face and she was happy to oblige. Not that she was being entirely selfless given that she was pretty sure it would put a smile on hers, too.

About the Authors:

Neither Brenda nor Tami grew up writing stories or dreaming of one day being authors but that changed when they shared a joint dream of creating a world to bring to life the stories of a group of dangerously handsome supernaturals.

Brenda is a Southern California girl who grew up in chaos, having ten siblings. Her mother is a brave, courageous woman who gave birth to a small village of children and has successfully battled advanced stage breast cancer for almost two years. Her parents did something right and taught Brenda how to persevere and accomplish whatever she set her mind to. Whether that was completing her bachelors and Masters degrees, or writing books, she is always up for a challenge.

Brenda survived the brutal murder of her first husband, John DeCaprio, at the hands of the children he was counseling to go on and help children in similar situations. Brenda remarried years later and now lives with her husband and their three fun-loving, energetic children. She loves running, reading, cooking, and Monster Energy drinks. And, Tami’s margaritas!

Tami is a southern girl, born and raised in Georgia. She is married and has two boys, so needless to say, she is surrounded by testosterone. We are trying to bottle Tami’s strength and positive outlook on life. It has helped her beat breast cancer and she is a proud three-year survivor. She loves reading paranormal romances, running at the lake near her home, watching college football (Go Dawgs!!!), and is always in search of the next best margarita.

Their life journeys led them both to Texas and one another. They fast became best friends and can always be found together. Whether it’s lounging by the pool or writing steamy love scenes, they are frequently seen pissing themselves from laughter. It’s embarrassing, really. But that’s ok, life is good!!

Excerpt from Pema’s Storm by Brenda Trim and Tami Julka:

Pema nodded her agreement as she ran the duster over the shelf and candles. “That’s the problem with prophecies. They are vague, confusing—” She stopped talking when the tinkling of the wind chimes above the front door signaled they had a customer.
A cool breeze blew through the room, chilling the air. She twisted around to see the most stunning male walk through the door. He was easily six feet tall and had thick, brown hair that fell in soft curls around his ruggedly handsome face. He had a strong, square jaw that she immediately imagined running her tongue over. His warm, brown eyes invited her to share her secrets, and suddenly it wasn’t so chilly anymore.
Her gaze traveled over him and she noticed that his jeans were tight in all the right places, and she could easily make out his firmly muscled legs. He took her breath away and she desperately wanted him.
Her sex tightened with need, and arousal flooded her panties as she was overcome with an uncontrollable lust for this stranger and couldn’t focus on anything but getting him into the office for a quick tryst. She became light-headed when a feathering sensation in her chest set her heart racing. She wondered what was wrong with her. She was no blushing virgin, but she had never responded like this when looking at a male.
Reaching up to wipe the sweat from her brow, she lost her hold on the ladder. As she felt air rush past her, she never once thought to utter a spell. She blamed it on the fact that her brain malfunctioned from hormone overload. Rather than landing in an ungainly heap on the floor, she was caught by big, strong arms and an electrical current raced across her skin the moment they touched. She wanted to climb to the top of the ladder to have this male catch her again. Then again, that would mean him putting her down and she had no desire for that to happen.
“Are you okay?” His voice was gruff, and she loved it. The sound sent liquid heat spreading from her abdomen to her core and had her melting into his body.
As much as she didn’t want to, she needed to put space between them or she was going to lose control. She pushed against his broad shoulders for him to let her go. She didn’t fight it too hard when he refused to release her. “I’m okay. Nice catch, by the way. I’m not usually caught off-guard like that.”
She should tell him to let her go. Her lips parted to say the words, but they were trapped in her throat. She breathed in his earthy, pine scent and a new flood of heat traveled through her. She needed to gather her senses, and added more force to her shove until he finally set her down. Her body slid down the hard length of him and she took a couple steps back before acting on impulse to rub against him like a cat in heat.
“I didn’t mean to startle you. Are you one of the Rowan sisters?” he asked, holding out his hand. Did he crave contact with her as much as she did him? It seemed like an eternity to Pema since he had touched her, and she would die if he didn’t touch her again. Okaaay, she was losing her mind and she needed to stop this behavior.
Her brain and hormones weren’t on speaking terms, and she eagerly grabbed his hand and held it tightly. “Yes, I’m Pema and this is my sister, Suvi,” she nodded her head in the direction of her sister, keeping hold of his hand. “And you are?”
“My name is Ronan Blackwell,” the hunk said, keeping intense gaze into her eyes.
“How can we help you, Ronan?” Suvi asked, awakening Pema from her daydreams of ravishing his body. Realizing how odd it must seem to be holding onto his hand, she pulled from his firm grip and immediately felt a loss. She turned around to face the counter, needing to break eye contact with him.

REVIEW!!! Dream Warrior (Dark Warrior Alliance #1) By Brenda Trim and Tami Julka

Dream Warrior: (Dark Warrior Alliance Book 1)

BUY NOW

Dream Warrior by Brenda Trim and Tami Julka

The only thing I found wrong with this story was that it ended. The good news is that there is another book. This is a page turning action packed romance. It had me on the edge of my seat from the first page until the last; if I didn't have to go to work I would not have put the book down until I finished it.
Elsie knows that evil stalks the night as her husband Dalton was killed by what she believes is a vampire. She joins a group SOVA (Survivors of vampire attack) to find and kill this terror of the night. What Elsie doesn't know is what she is hunting is a lot worse than vampires.
After a chance encounter with the Vampire King Zander at a dinner where she was going to get dinner. She instantly fell in lust but she is still being faithful to her dead husband 18 months after his death. She was never ever going to follow through on any of the feelings or impulses she had.
Once Zander realizes where he had first seen Elsie he gets some of his warriors who are also detectives to re-open the case and to see what they can discover. Her honeysuckle fragrance is enough to drive Zander crazy with desire. He finally realizes that she is the reason he has been unable to feed since that night that he saw her on the news and she is his mate. It has been 400 years since there has been a fated mate.
Elsie is too plagued by guilt to allow this to happen without a fight. Finally she realizes that she loves Zander but will it be too late?
I received this ARC for an honest review I can honestly say I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to anyone that likes the vampire stories.

Excerpt from Dream Warrior
by Brenda Trim and Tami Julka
Elsie woke, drenched in sweat with a scream trapped on her lips and her sheets tangled around her legs. Her sister stirred next to her on the queen-sized mattress. She didn’t want to wake her and shoved a fist into her mouth, stifling the scream from clawing its way out as the images from her nightmare continued to consume her. No matter how long and hard she fought it, the visions and memories refused to leave her.
It always started the same, with her standing on cracked linoleum in the long hall of the group home where Dalton was murdered. She had relived that entire night countless times over the past eighteen months. She squeezed her eyes shut as the images flooded her aching brain for what seemed like the millionth time. An abattoir surrounded her. The walls were sprayed with blood, and there were pools of the crimson liquid congealing on the black-and-white checkerboard floor. She gagged when she saw a lump of bright, red meat on the floor. Flesh. Yellow flags and cones lined the walls and floor, amidst the carnage. Her stomach revolted while her body went numb.
In between heaving, she had whispered a plea for help. No one responded and she fell into a heap on the floor. Mindless of the blood she sat in, she gazed at the sight of her husband lying in a pool of blood, his sightless eyes trained on her. His neck had been torn open and shredded. How long she sat there screaming she didn’t know. But, finally, a police officer escorted her away from his body and out of the house where her nightmare was made worse when she came up against a mass of news media shouting questions about her husband being the latest TwiKill victim. Her world came to a crashing halt that night. At that moment, a huge black hole imploded into an endless ache in her chest.
Now, eighteen months later, that black hole had grown thorns and pierced her heart. The pain forced her to curl into a ball on her bed. She hated how much power the memories had over her. Joining SOVA had been a way to gain some of that power back. Still, she longed to be a normal college student again. You haven’t been normal since you were three years old, she thought wryly.
