REVIEW

Firstly, it's so hard to say anything about this without giving anything away. It's actually quite difficult! I did enjoy it though and give it a solid 4 stars.

Book 2 in the Power Chain series, we have Paxton and Laurel. They've known each other for years and have a history, but it's not all roses. When Pax decides he's taking Laurel back, he does it in one of the most infuriating ways I've ever read about! I seriously wanted to smack him upside the head for that. And I'm positive Laurel did too. The characters are strong and well-defined, and each have their place in the Power Chain group. Pax's actions aren't ideal, but if you break it down, there's chivalry behind them. Twisted chivalry, but still there!
Although it's a standalone, naturally you'll get the most out of it by reading book 1 first, and even 0.5 (which i still haven't caught up on!). The basics of their business are explained, but again, you get more out of that by starting at the beginning.
I love Ellen Sue, their 'mother hen' who keeps them... no in line, but she tends to their houses and such when they need her. I love that she's a constant through these books, and always sides with 'her boys' and isn't a pushover to the women who try to wheedle information out of her! She's such a great character
